SEN Tutor – One-to-One Support in Faversham

About the role

We are seeking passionate SEN Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for children with Special Educational Needs in Faversham and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible hours, with typical assignments of 10 teaching hours per week paid as 12 hours to include planning time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised, needs‑based tuition sessions for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning challenges and support academic progress.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Required profile

• Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and targeted interventions.
• Excellent communication, patient and supportive attitude.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Required skills

• One‑to‑one tutoring techniques for SEN learners.
• Planning and preparation of tailored lesson materials.
