SEN Tutor (QTS) – One-to-One GCSE Maths & English

About the role

We are looking for a qualified teacher with QTS to provide one‑to‑one GCSE Maths and English tuition for SEN learners in Oldham. The role starts in September 2026 and is part‑time (20 hours per week) on a temporary basis. You will work directly with students with autism, ADHD, SEMH and those working below expected levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one‑to‑one GCSE Maths and English tuition for SEN learners.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual emotional, social, and academic needs.
• Support students in developing core subject knowledge, study skills, and exam confidence.
• Create a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment that promotes engagement and progress.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, or relevant professionals.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
• Experience working with SEN students in a one‑to‑one or small group setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
