SEND Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two reception‑age pupils with special educational needs at a well‑established primary school in Barnet. You will work closely with the school’s SEND coordinator and class teachers to ensure each child’s learning, play and social interaction needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to pupils across all classroom activities.
• Support pupils in developing academic skills, social confidence and peer interaction.
• Collaborate with the SEND coordinator and teachers to implement tailored learning plans.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and any observations.
• Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a SEN teaching assistant or in a role supporting children with special needs.
• Ability to start immediately and work full‑time.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, faith‑based school environment.
