SEND Lecturer – Entry Level (E1‑E3)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic SEND Lecturer to join our specialist provision at Barra Hall in Uxbridge. You will deliver inclusive learning programmes for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across Entry Levels 1 to 3, helping them build academic, personal and employability skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons for Entry Level 1‑3 programmes, including Functional Skills English and Maths.
• Teach vocational subjects such as horticulture and retail, and support learners in life and living skills.
• Differentiate activities to meet individual EHCP outcomes and monitor progress through assessment and feedback.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants, curriculum teams, families and external professionals.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, diversity and health‑and‑safety policies.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching learners with SEND.
• Proven ability to deliver Functional Skills English and Maths.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and learner welfare.

Required skills

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Experience with SEND learners and EHCP outcomes.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse needs.
