SEND Lecturer – Inclusive Learning (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Lecturer to join Hertford Regional College on a temporary basis. You will work with students who have profound to moderate learning disabilities, delivering life‑skills education that prepares them for independent adulthood.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver life‑skills curriculum covering vocational, community inclusion and health & wellbeing topics.
• Integrate Entry Level Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) across all teaching sessions.
• Develop and assess independent living skills to support successful transition to adult life.
• Facilitate community‑based activities that promote inclusion and real‑world experience.
• Monitor student progress and provide tailored support to achieve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching life‑skills to SEND learners.
• Demonstrable success in preparing students for adulthood.
• Creative, imaginative approach with a passion for nurturing SEND students.

Required skills

• ICT proficiency for delivering functional skills.
