About the role
We are looking for a passionate and resilient Class Teacher to join our specialist SEND secondary school in East London. You will work with pupils who have complex needs, helping them achieve their individual potential in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals.
- Assess, monitor, and celebrate progress against EHCP outcomes and personalised targets.
- Support pupils’ communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold high expectations for all learners.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching secondary‑aged pupils, preferably in a SEND or specialist setting.
- Strong understanding of complex learning needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
What we offer
- Daily rate of £200‑£300, dependent on experience.
- Start date in September 2026.
