SEND Teacher (Early Career) – Part‑time

About the role
Vision for Education is recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work as SEND teachers across schools in the Rotherham and South Yorkshire area. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a daily rate of £150‑£180, with the possibility of progressing to a full‑time, long‑term position.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEND requirements.
- Collaborate with senior staff, teaching assistants and external specialists to create inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to personalised education plans.
- Participate in safeguarding duties and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or completion of teacher training within the current academic year.
- Genuine interest or experience in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Patience, drive and determination to develop professional skills.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and register on the Update Service.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning needs.
