SEND Teacher – EYFS/PMLD Long-Term Supply (Harrow)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a specialist SEND school in Harrow to find a qualified SEN teacher for a long‑term supply position. The role focuses on EYFS curriculum delivery for a small group of 6‑8 pupils with complex learning needs, offering a supportive and well‑resourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver EYFS lessons to pupils grouped by ability rather than age.
• Teach across four classes, ensuring smooth transitions using existing planning.
• Provide personal care, hoisting, and tube‑feeding support where required.
• Collaborate with learning support assistants, medical staff and therapy teams.
• Utilise communication tools such as Co‑Boards and CARMS strategies to maximise engagement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early‑career teachers are not eligible.
• Proven experience in a specialist SEND setting, particularly with PMLD or low‑functioning autism.
• Comfortable delivering personal care and working alongside medical professionals.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for each pupil.

Required skills

• Co‑Boards communication system.
• CARMS intervention strategies.
