SEND Teacher – Flexible, Remote & In‑Person Roles

About the role

SENse Learning is seeking passionate SEND Teachers to provide one‑to‑one support for young people with special educational needs. You will work across a range of specialisms, delivering tailored, trauma‑informed learning in the student’s home, community or online.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD.
• Provide one‑to‑one support in‑person, online/remote or hybrid, tailoring lessons to individual needs.
• Deliver curriculum in a child‑centred, trauma‑informed manner, adapting resources and activities.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and schools to schedule lessons and monitor progress.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and complete required documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years post‑NQT teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Understanding of child‑centred, holistic and trauma‑informed approaches.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to design and adapt curriculum for individual learners.
