SEND Teacher (KS2/KS3) – Specialist School

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Hyde (SK14). The role is full‑time and long‑term, teaching small classes of KS2 and KS3 pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for KS2 and KS3 pupils.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that supports autism, communication, sensory and learning difficulties.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual EHCP targets.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, adjusting plans as needed.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience in a SEND or specialist setting (highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive teaching practices.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
