SEND Teacher – Primary School (Wandsworth)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a thriving two‑form primary school in Wandsworth, starting September 2026. The role is a one‑year fixed‑term position working within a specialised SEND classroom supporting up to 12 pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver adapted curriculum for children with special educational needs, including autistic learners.
• Collaborate closely with two teaching assistants to provide tailored educational, social and emotional support.
• Work alongside two other SEND classrooms, sharing best practices and resources.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the school’s SEND development plans.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience working as a SEND Teacher in a primary setting.
• Enhanced DBS (Child Only) and any necessary overseas police checks.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Curriculum adaptation for SEND pupils.
• Effective classroom management with support staff.
• Understanding of autism spectrum needs.
