SEND Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Full‑time, East London)

About the role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting in Tower Hamlets, East London. You will support children with additional learning needs throughout the academic year, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with SEND.
• Encourage communication, social interaction and emotional development.
• Work with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised support strategies.
• Promote independence through play‑based learning and daily routines.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEND, preferably in an Early Years setting.
• Patient, compassionate and enthusiastic attitude.
• Understanding of inclusive practice and its importance.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.
• Commitment to work the full academic year (September 2026 – July 2027).

Required skills

• None specified beyond general SEND support competencies.
