About the role
Reed Education is seeking compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support children with diverse learning needs in schools around Haywards Heath. This temporary, full‑time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in inclusive education.
Key responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons for pupils with special educational needs.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Help create a safe, supportive environment that promotes student wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to monitor progress.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- Relevant qualification (NVQ, CACHE, Degree or equivalent) in SEN support or education.
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with teachers, parents and professionals.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Ability to implement individualized education plans.
