About the role
We are looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across schools in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible working patterns, allowing you to choose the days and locations that suit you while making a meaningful impact on children’s learning journeys.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one‑to‑one sessions that support the learning, communication and social development of SEND pupils.
- Collaborate closely with the SENDCO and classroom teachers to implement tailored learning plans.
- Assist with personal care needs of pupils, providing patient and compassionate support.
- Cover day‑to‑day supply, short‑term bookings, and long‑term placements as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
- Holder of an Enhanced DBS that is on the update service.
- Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in SEND support.
- Willingness to undertake additional training when needed.
