SEND Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Role in Bromley (BR1)

About the role
We are looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming special educational needs school in the BR1 area of Bromley. This long‑term, full‑time position offers the chance to support children with a variety of SEND needs and make a lasting impact on their learning journey.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support students with academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage independence and confidence in pupils.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or SEND setting.
- Patient, caring, and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEND needs is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
