About the role

A caring, inclusive school in the Tonbridge area is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a long‑term supply position. You will work closely with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence.

Key responsibilities

Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with SEMH, ASD and ADHD.
Implement individualized learning strategies and behaviour plans.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a safe, structured classroom environment.
Monitor progress and report observations to senior staff.
Assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation.

Required profile

Previous experience supporting children with SEND, particularly SEMH, ASD or ADHD.
Calm, patient and resilient demeanor.
Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
Genuine passion for inclusive education.
