SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Horsforth)

About the role

Engage Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 class in a primary school in Horsforth, Leeds. The role starts in September and runs initially for 12 weeks with the prospect of becoming permanent. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils with complex learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD and other SEND profiles.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to engage pupils in classroom activities.
• Deliver feedback to teachers and parents regarding pupil progress.
• Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with pupils who have a range of special educational needs.
• Strong repertoire of behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to engage young learners using varied methods.
• Commitment to a long‑term placement at the school.
• Resilient attitude and flexibility.
