About the role
An outstanding primary school in Oldham is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support a small group of pupils with speech and language difficulties. You will work closely with the SENCO and external speech therapists to ensure each child receives tailored assistance that enhances communication and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with speech and language needs.
- Implement strategies and activities recommended by speech therapists and the SENCO.
- Assist pupils during whole‑class lessons and during dedicated intervention sessions.
- Build positive relationships to boost confidence, engagement and progress.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with pupils who have special educational needs, especially speech and language difficulties.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, supportive attitude.
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
