SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (1:1)

About the role

We are partnering with primary schools across Medway to provide experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for 1:1 and small‑group support. The role starts after the half‑term break and runs until the end of the academic year, offering a mix of day‑to‑day supply and longer‑term placements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group assistance to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Support learning activities, adapt resources, and help pupils engage with the curriculum.
• Manage challenging behaviour and create a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor progress and adjust support plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting SEND pupils in a primary school setting.
• Familiarity with ADHD, challenging behaviour, and additional learning needs is highly beneficial.
• Passion for helping young learners and ability to build strong relationships within school communities.
