SEND Tutor (Maths/English/Science) – Flexible Hours

About the role

Join Targeted Provision as a SEND Tutor, delivering Maths, English or Science tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs across South East England. You will work flexibly – in‑person, online or a hybrid mix – to support learners from KS1 to KS5, helping them achieve their educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored tuition for pupils with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD.
• Provide in‑person, remote or hybrid sessions based on pupil and school requirements.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and create a safe, trauma‑informed learning environment.
• Collaborate with local authorities, schools and the SEND Support Team to monitor progress.
• Complete required administrative tasks, including session records and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH or related needs.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.

Required skills

• Ability to teach Maths, English or Science at KS1‑KS5 level.
• Trauma‑informed teaching approach.
• Effective communication with pupils, parents and professionals.
