Senior 3rd Line Support Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

Red Rhino Solutions is seeking a Senior 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a fast‑growing MSP. The role is hybrid, based in Barnsley with occasional travel to client sites in the UK and internationally. You will act as the technical authority during high‑impact incidents and provide mentorship to engineers across three continents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical response for Priority 1 incidents and coordinate internal and third‑party resources.
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders during crises.
• Identify root causes, implement improvements and protect customer relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the overall technical level of the team.
• Provide occasional onsite support and training abroad.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior 3rd line IT support within a managed services environment.
• Strong incident leadership skills, especially in high‑pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
