Senior Account Executive – Employee Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑driven Senior Account Executive to join a fast‑growing professional services firm specialising in employee benefits. Based in Leeds, you will work within a high‑performing team to generate new business across SME, mid‑corporate and large corporate markets, delivering tailored benefits solutions that enhance client wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to exceed new‑business revenue targets.
• Identify and engage key decision‑makers in HR, Finance, Procurement and C‑suite functions.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with prospective clients.
• Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, proposal development, pricing and contract negotiation.
• Collaborate with internal specialist teams to design client‑centric solutions.
• Partner with marketing to support campaigns, events and lead‑generation initiatives.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity.
• Work cross‑functionally to maximise pipeline creation and conversion rates.

Required profile

• Proven track record in originating and converting new business within the employee benefits sector.
• Experience managing a pipeline in mid‑corporate or large corporate markets.
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Commercially astute with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex concepts.
