Senior Accountant – Accountancy Practice in Plymouth

About the role

We are a growing accountancy practice in Plymouth seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare and review year‑end accounts, manage personal and corporate tax compliance and oversee VAT and bookkeeping services. The role supports the firm’s managers and partners and offers increasing client‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review year‑end accounts for a diverse client base.
• Handle personal and corporate tax compliance, including VAT.
• Oversee bookkeeping and broader accounting services.
• Develop and mentor junior team members.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business growth.

Required profile

• Qualified or part/finalist in AAT, ATT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent, or extensive experience in accountancy.
• Proven experience at Senior Accountant level within an accountancy practice.
• Experience serving sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and SMEs across various industries.
• Ability to work full‑time or part‑time, flexible to candidate’s preferences.
