Senior Accountant / Client Manager – Barnstaple

About the role

This senior position combines accounting expertise with client‑facing responsibilities within a respected North Devon practice. You will join at an exciting growth stage, helping to maintain high‑quality service while developing long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support a varied portfolio of clients with ongoing accounting, bookkeeping and tax compliance.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with both clients and internal colleagues.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure delivery of exceptional client service.

Required profile

• Experienced practice accountant with a solid background in client management, accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• ACA or ACCA qualification is advantageous, though extensive practice experience is also considered.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a close‑knit team.
