Senior Accountant – Client‑Focused Practice

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing, client‑focused practice in North London. The role offers a mix of compliance, advisory and management accounting work, allowing you to develop a broad technical skill set while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Produce and analyse management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow statements.
• Review bookkeeping records and support clients in maintaining accurate accounting systems.
• Prepare and review VAT returns and other compliance assignments.
• Assist with corporation tax computations, deferred tax calculations and personal tax work.
• Provide commercially focused insights beyond traditional compliance services.
• Mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with tax, audit and specialist teams to deliver excellent client service.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to completing the qualification.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
• Experience working with owner‑managed businesses and a varied client portfolio.
