Senior Accountant - Coventry

About the role

A growing accountancy firm in Coventry, close to a train station, is recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant with at least 3 years of practice experience and an ACA or ACCA qualification. The position suits someone who wants to work in practice with a forward-thinking attitude in an excellent working environment, and is open to full-time or part-time arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Produce quarterly or monthly management accounts for clients
• Prepare analysis and reports for client meetings
• Handle day-to-day client enquiries and queries
• Review the work of more junior team members
• Carry out tax computations and tax returns for companies and partnerships/sole traders

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified; QBE will be considered
• At least 3 years of practice experience
• Experience preparing statutory year-end accounts for SMEs with turnover between £1 million and £10 million
• Experience preparing CT600s and personal and partnership tax returns

Required skills

• Familiarity and competence in the new FRS102 accounting standards
• Knowledge of accounting standards, industry specifics and their applications
