About the role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing professional services business in Basingstoke. The role involves preparing year‑end financial statements, producing monthly management accounts and supporting the finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements for year‑end reporting.
- Produce monthly management accounts.
- Execute month‑end entries including fixed assets, accruals, pre‑payments, payroll journals and VAT.
- Liaise with clients and address accounting queries.
- Lead and mentor junior staff within the accounts team.
Required profile
- Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Eligibility to work in the UK full‑time without restriction.
