Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join a global organisation’s UK finance team on a 9‑month contract. The role offers the chance to own a wide range of accounting activities while acting as a trusted business partner across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support product pricing and costing activities.
• Provide commercial analysis and pricing insights to the sales team.
• Review and approve pricing quotations to ensure accuracy, compliance and profitability.
• Support month‑end close, including journal preparation and general ledger tasks.
• Manage accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and key balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with Operations to deliver financial insight for business decisions.
• Assist with year‑end audits and ensure timely delivery of audit information.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar financial accounting role.
• Demonstrated costing and pricing experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships.
