Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join UWH Development Ltd in London. The role will support the financial management of our real‑estate development projects, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and cash‑flow oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management reports, financial statements and audit packs for the development portfolio.
• Handle VAT returns, tax matters and ensure compliance with HMRC deadlines.
• Produce month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reports for the CEO and stakeholders.
• Code development invoices against budgets, manage cash‑flow reporting and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee balance‑sheet and profit & loss statements for multiple companies and produce year‑end accounts for auditors.
• Manage daily bookkeeping, payment processing and employee salary distribution.
• Liaise with external financial consultants and coordinate with Mandarin‑speaking clients and suppliers.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with up to 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a real‑estate, development or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and IFRS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including large financial models.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• VAT return preparation and filing.
• Understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards.
