About the role
Our client in Hatfield is seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant to join a rapidly expanding practice. You will work full‑time on‑site, managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high‑quality financial services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage your own client portfolio, preparing financial statements and management accounts.
- Maintain accurate client financial records and perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT returns and corporation tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Produce regular client reviews and support junior team members.
- Develop and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years of experience within an accountancy practice.
- Proven ability to manage an independent client portfolio.
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to advise and support clients.
- Ability to commute daily to the Hatfield office.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage accounting software.
