About the role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well‑known business in Leeds. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
- Act as business partner to various functions across the wider business.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and submit local compliance work, including statutory accounts, VAT and tax periodic returns.
- Respond to ad‑hoc queries and analysis, prioritising timely responses.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and the operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Identify process gaps and propose continuous improvement measures.
Required profile
- Reporting into the Financial Controller.
- Senior Accountant level.
