Senior Accountant – Media Segment (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our EMEA Controllership team on a fixed‑term contract until October 2027. Based in our Hammersmith office, you will support the Media segment’s close processes, collaborate with global teams, and help drive efficiency across accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary accounting contact for local, EMEA, US and Mumbai teams, reviewing work and supporting the extended Mumbai team.
• Oversee revenue accruals, deferred income, pre‑payments and withholding tax for the Media segment.
• Ensure compliance with programming accounting policies for various content types, including internally developed and third‑party acquisitions.
• Facilitate timely quarterly close activities, review reporting packages, and resolve issues promptly.
• Liaise with external auditors on a quarterly basis and attend audit calls.
• Lead projects to improve processes, maintain high service standards, and ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley and Disney control compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in film or TV programming accounting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse complex financial data.
