Senior Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our expanding finance team in Hendon. Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a range of transactional accounting tasks. The role offers variety and the chance to develop your accounting expertise within a forward‑thinking business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular and timely bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset register.
• Manage Accounts Payable, including supplier statement reconciliation, payment runs and query resolution.
• Review and maintain Direct Debit schedules and leases.
• Support the Management Accountant with month‑end processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Provide coverage for Accounts Receivable as needed.

Required profile

• Currently studying AAT or at an early stage of CIMA/ACCA.
• Relevant experience in the duties listed above.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Ability to commute daily to Hendon (100% office‑based).
• You should be comfortable handling multiple accounting tasks and delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.
