Senior Accounts Assistant – Touring

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to join a specialist firm that supports music and entertainment clients. Working within the touring team, you will manage the day‑to‑day financial operations for touring artists, collaborating closely with artist managers, booking agents, tour managers and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain client books and records using Sage Line 50 and XERO, including bank and tour‑float postings.
• Perform bank reconciliations, sales and purchase invoicing, and credit‑card/agency statement matching.
• Review outstanding debtors and creditors, support collections and supplier statement reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit VAT Returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Assist with client onboarding, set up bank accounts and manage daily cash‑flow reviews.
• Liaise with booking agents to raise sales invoices and with record labels on tour‑support requests.
• Support cancellation insurance processes and withholding‑tax mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in music‑industry finance.
• AAT Level 3/4 qualification or studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage timesheets, priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communicator comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues and third parties.
• Proactive, initiative‑taking attitude and a genuine interest in the music sector.
