About the role

Clark Wood is partnering with a leading accountancy firm in Blackburn to recruit a Senior Accounts Manager. This full‑time position offers a clear pathway to Director or Partnership level for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of accountants and oversee the delivery of accounts compliance and advisory services.
• Manage a portfolio of SME and limited company clients, ensuring high‑quality financial advice and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and nurture long‑term client relationships to grow the firm’s fee base.
• Support and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and facilitating professional development.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and help shape the firm’s growth strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Manager or Senior Manager within an accountancy practice.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a client portfolio of SMEs and limited companies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on client service.
• Ambition to progress to Director or Partnership level.
