Senior Analyst Consultant – Defence, Government, Nuclear

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst Consultant to join a fast‑growing defence and government consultancy in Winchester. The role is hybrid and offers a competitive salary of £45‑£75k plus bonus and benefits. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver high‑impact operational analysis and data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Apply operational analysis techniques to solve complex defence and nuclear challenges.
• Provide consultative advice to clients, translating analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of analysts, SMEs and engineers.
• Gather requirements, design processes and produce clear analytical reports.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Dstl, Defence Digital, DE&S and other UK MoD entities.

Required profile

• Strong background in UK defence or related government sectors.
• Experience working with Dstl, Defence Digital, DE&S, Frontline Commands or UK defence industry.
• Self‑starter, team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Degree, MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including VBA.
• Python for data analysis and software development.
• PowerBI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dataverse and PowerApps.
• Data analysis, operational analysis and decision‑making techniques.
