Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

This is a senior position within a fast‑growing fintech company in London. You will help scale a modern data platform and build a dedicated Analytics Engineering capability, shaping best practice and delivering high‑quality insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust data models using dbt and Databricks.
• Build trusted data layers that support analytics, reporting and self‑service use cases.
• Collaborate with insight analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, analysis‑ready datasets.
• Write production‑grade SQL and Python code for data transformation pipelines.
• Contribute to data governance, documentation and CI/CD processes.
• Support the implementation of a modern medallion architecture.
• Identify and implement improvements to data workflows and platform efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with SQL and Python.
• Proven analytics engineering experience on a modern data stack, preferably Databricks.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt in a fast‑paced data environment.
• Deep understanding of data modelling, testing and CI/CD principles.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
