Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

Paddle is a Merchant of Record helping digital product companies simplify payments. As a Senior Analytics Engineer you will shape our data infrastructure, build robust models and champion analytics best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain complex, scalable data models in Snowflake using dbt.
• Expose datasets in BI tools for self‑service analytics.
• Perform simple data ingestion using no‑code tools and ensure streamlined data flows.
• Add comprehensive metadata, documentation, data quality checks and sensitive data masking.
• Activate data by pushing it from Snowflake into operational tools.
• Identify and raise data quality issues to process owners.
• Lead training sessions to drive BI tool adoption.
• Mentor junior analytics engineers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in analytics engineering or related data roles with advanced SQL, dbt and Snowflake expertise.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or Snowsight to deliver actionable insights.
• Experience using no‑code data ingestion tools like Fivetran or Stitch.
• Ability to manage metadata, documentation, data quality checks and sensitive data masking.
• Strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Experience conducting training sessions and informal mentorship for junior team members.
