Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

SoSafe is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the transformation layer in dbt and drive data‑modeling excellence across the company. The role is remote, with office access in London, Dublin or Lisbon, and requires work authorization in the UK, Ireland or Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Own the transformation layer in dbt, designing, building and maintaining modular, well‑tested data models.
• Define and implement core business metrics such as activation, engagement and retention as reusable, versioned assets.
• Model complex SaaS data by integrating product events, Salesforce CRM and support data into clean fact and dimension tables.
• Build and evolve a semantic layer that provides a reliable abstraction for consistent KPI definitions and downstream consumers, including LLM‑based analytics agents.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on upstream data contracts and event schemas to ensure scalable, reliable analytics.
• Establish best practices for testing, documentation and data quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering with a strong focus on data modeling.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous business questions into clear, maintainable data models.
• Strong business acumen and fluency in English.

Required skills

• dbt and advanced SQL.
• Dimensional modeling and metric design.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift.
• Familiarity with semantic‑layer tools (dbt metrics, MetricFlow, Cube).
• Data‑quality testing, validation and monitoring.
• Working with event‑based data and integration of Salesforce data.
