Senior Android Engineer – Mobile Security Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our mobile security platform team in Bristol. You will design, develop, and maintain secure Android components that power enterprise‑wide mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high‑quality Android applications, SDKs and reusable components.
• Implement secure, scalable and performant solutions using modern development practices.
• Collaborate with architects, security specialists and engineering teams to define technical solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of mobile security capabilities and supporting services.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, documentation and mentoring.
• Optimise performance, reliability and user experience, and promote modular architecture.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing Android apps with Kotlin and Java.
• Deep knowledge of the Android SDK, lifecycle, UI design principles and accessibility standards.
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM/MVI patterns and Android Architecture Components.
• Proven ability to work in modularised codebases and apply SOLID and clean‑code practices.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to influence technical decisions.
