Senior Architect – Residential & Accessible Design

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Architect to join an award‑winning practice in Devon. You will lead bespoke residential adaptation and accessible design projects, guiding them from concept through construction while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects across all RIBA stages, from initial brief to handover.
• Develop creative design solutions and produce detailed technical packages.
• Prepare and submit planning and Building Regulations applications.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and other external stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and oversee construction phases.
• Support junior team members and contribute to practice development.
• Ensure projects meet programme, quality and budget targets.

Required profile

• ARB‑registered architect with extensive post‑Part 3 experience.
• Proven ability to deliver projects through every RIBA stage.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience managing client relationships and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to work onsite five days a week.
