Senior Associate – Debt Advisory

About the role

Our client is expanding its Debt Advisory team in London and is seeking a Senior Associate to support the origination and execution of financing transactions. You will work closely with senior bankers, lenders and corporate clients, providing independent advice on capital‑structure solutions for acquisitions, refinancings and other event‑driven situations.

Key responsibilities

• Source, structure and execute debt financing deals across a range of corporate transactions.
• Build complex financial models from scratch to assess financing scenarios, valuations and leverage metrics.
• Prepare and present pitch books, marketing materials and detailed deal documentation.
• Analyse company operational and financial performance, capital structure and legal documentation.
• Lead negotiations with lenders and advise clients throughout the transaction process.
• Supervise junior analysts, review their work for quality and provide training.
• Collaborate with M&A advisory colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Relevant experience at a leading investment bank or advisory firm at the Associate level.
• Strong analytical ability with a track record of building LBO, DCF and other valuation models.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem‑solving skills.
• Outstanding academic record.
