Senior Associate Solicitor – Professional Indemnity (Glasgow)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join our specialist Professional Indemnity team in Glasgow. The Senior Associate will handle high‑value, technically complex disputes and work closely with major insurers and professional clients across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex professional indemnity claims from inception to resolution, advising insurers and professional clients on liability, coverage and strategy.
• Resolve intricate factual and technical issues, delivering clear, pragmatic advice.
• Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and trainees, contributing to team development.
• Participate in business development initiatives and support the growth of the practice in Scotland.

Required profile

• 8+ years post‑qualification experience (5+ years with strong litigation background also considered).
• Experience in professional indemnity or related litigation areas such as commercial litigation or clinical negligence.
• Proven ability to manage complex claims independently.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and organisational abilities.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with insurers, professionals and colleagues.
