Senior Audit Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a respected, fast‑growing accountancy practice to find a Senior Audit Manager. This senior leadership position will oversee audit delivery for a varied client portfolio, working closely with partners and directors to ensure high‑quality service and commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a substantial portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
• Lead audit assignments from planning and risk assessment through to completion and final sign‑off.
• Collaborate with partners and directors on both audit and commercial matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, directors and key stakeholders.
• Deliver audits in line with International Auditing Standards and UK regulations.
• Review and oversee preparation of complex statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Provide commercial and financial management support, including due diligence, investigations and business valuations.
• Drive quality‑control initiatives, manage engagement profitability, budgets and resource planning.
• Mentor and develop junior and managerial team members.
• Support business‑development activities and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in UK audit practice, handling diverse client types.
• Proven ability to manage audit teams and client relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Auditing Standards.
• Proficiency with UK GAAP and IFRS reporting frameworks.
• Experience delivering complex statutory financial statements.
