Senior Audit Manager – Not-for-Profit

About the role

Pro‑Finance is seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead its Not‑for‑Profit practice in Leeds. You will manage a portfolio of charity and not‑for‑profit clients, delivering audit and advisory services while supporting the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of charity and not‑for‑profit audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships, providing technical and commercial advice.
• Advise clients on accounting, governance, controls and regulatory matters, including Charities SORP, VAT and tax issues.
• Support business development through networking, tenders and identifying opportunities within existing clients.
• Mentor and develop Audit Seniors and trainees.
• Stay up‑to‑date with sector developments and contribute to recruitment and firm initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong audit background within practice, preferably with charities and not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Good working knowledge of the Charities SORP, VAT and tax issues affecting the sector.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to manage and develop junior team members.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.

• Competitive salary £65,000‑£78,000 plus bonus scheme.
