Senior Audit Manager – Not‑For‑Profit (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead our Not‑For‑Profit audit team in London. The role will oversee end‑to‑end audit engagements for charities, academies and public‑sector entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and ISA while delivering high‑quality audit evidence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver full audit cycles for not‑for‑profit organisations, charities and academies.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of auditors and senior staff.
• Design audit strategies tailored to the specific structures of not‑for‑profit entities.
• Perform risk assessments, evaluate internal controls and devise appropriate audit procedures.
• Prepare and review financial statements, audit reports and management letters.
• Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and addressing concerns.
• Identify service improvements, operational efficiencies and new business opportunities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in accounting standards, legislation and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Significant professional audit experience with exposure to not‑for‑profit organisations, charities and academies.
• Proven ability to manage complex audit engagements and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong people‑management and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused attitude.
