Senior Automation Engineer – London (Prime Brokerage & Financing)

About the role

We are looking for a senior automation engineer to join a fast‑growing global prime brokerage and financing platform. You will lead the design and delivery of AI‑driven automation solutions that support operations, compliance and risk functions across traditional and digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an agentic automation framework in Python on AWS Bedrock.
• Decompose complex Jira workflows into micro‑services and LLM agents.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of automation solutions, from concept to production.
• Build secure, high‑performance integrations with core internal systems.
• Develop prompt strategies, retrieval augmentation, and guard‑rail policies for Bedrock models.
• Measure and optimise agent output quality, latency and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce coding standards, code reviews and CI/CD hygiene.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years designing distributed, event‑driven systems on AWS.
• Proven production experience integrating or fine‑tuning LLM/GenAI solutions (OpenAI, Bedrock or similar).
• Deep knowledge of the Jira data model, webhooks and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of SaaS security practices: OAuth, secret rotation, data‑in‑transit and at‑rest encryption.
• Familiarity with financial or regulated environments and control frameworks such as SOC 2.
• Hands‑on experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Datadog) and CI/CD pipelines.
