Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing fintech company in Central London to strengthen their cloud and DevOps capabilities. As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer you will influence technical decisions, build highly automated Azure infrastructure, and help scale a modern platform while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform and an IaC‑first approach.
• Manage and optimise Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerised workloads on Azure Container Apps or similar platforms.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enable fast, reliable software delivery.
• Automate provisioning, deployments and operational tasks with PowerShell.
• Support and optimise Azure SQL environments for performance, availability and security.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions to improve platform health.
• Champion cloud security, governance and DevOps best practices across the Azure estate.
• Participate in architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly AKS or Azure Container Apps.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, influence technical strategy and collaborate with software engineering teams.
