Senior Azure Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer for a six‑month initial contract, working three days a week on‑site in Southwark, London. You will be responsible for designing, building and supporting enterprise‑scale Azure environments while ensuring high availability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy, manage and optimise Azure services across the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Develop and execute monitoring strategies using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and alerting.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation with Azure DevOps.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform to deliver reusable deployments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on platform engineering experience.
• Strong focus on Azure cloud architecture and operations.
• Proven ability to work on secure, highly available, and scalable solutions.
• Experience delivering automation and monitoring at enterprise scale.

What we offer

• £500‑£600 per day outside IR35.
• Six‑month initial contract with the possibility of extension.
