Senior BIM Coordinator – MEP

About the role

NG Bailey is creating a new BIM team in its Bristol office and is looking for a Senior BIM Coordinator – MEP. You will lead the production and maintenance of building information models and drawings, supporting design and construction while gaining line‑management experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the BIM team on assigned projects, ensuring delivery within budget and programme.
• Produce and maintain coordinated building information models and drawings for design, installation and manufacture.
• Run regular coordination review meetings using 3D models to highlight variations and communicate with the wider construction team.
• Maintain knowledge of all MEP systems to deliver optimised solutions and support CDM compliance.
• Visit sites to understand installation practices and improve modelling effectiveness.
• Develop team skills in software, MEP systems and coordination, providing guidance and feedback.
• Translate engineers’ calculations, sketches or drawings into accurate, structured models, incorporating NG Bailey Offsite solutions where possible.

Required profile

• Experience managing BIM Technicians or similar staff.
• Strong BIM background with CAD and Revit experience.
• Proven experience on MEP projects.
• Solution‑oriented mindset and ability to think creatively.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain BIM concepts to non‑technical clients.
